Our history
The company was established in 1991 as a holding company for the ownership of SalMar ASA. Kverva has through its ownership in SalMar, one of the most profitable salmon producers in the world, proved to be a long-term contributor to developing shareholder value in the aquaculture industry. Following 15 years of ownership, a part of the company was sold to financial investors in 2006. The proceeds from this transaction have been the fundament for establishing Kverva as an active industrial investment company. From 2007 the company has developed a significant knowledge and a broad network within the marine sector. Based on a selected portfolio of companies and a strong capital base Kverva is prepared to make new future oriented and value creating investments in the sector for the coming years.
